ABOUT COLLEGE

One of the dream to establish the Belley Sankarpur Rajib Gandhi Memorial Ayurvedic Society is to develop the indigenous System on the modern up to date model international institute in Bengal in the background of Human Health Care.. Bengal had been the Pioneer of India since 10th century A.D. Unfortunately; we have lost the glorious tradition due to unavoidable circumstances.
After a long struggle, the society could start an Ayurvedic College in the nostalgic field and remote village which is free from polluted area. The inherent dream is to erect an artificial hill, natural boating and healthy atmosphere to the patient, surrounded by Ayurvedic Medicinal Plants.
After getting No-Objection Certificate from Government of West Bengal, Proper affiliation from the University of Calcutta and overall approval by the C.C.I.M., New Delhi (the autonomous parliamentary body of the Indian System of Medicine), Department of health and family Welfare Government of India, the education and research was initiated by Kj. Nani Gopal Sarkar, a well - known devotee for promoting education in villages of West Bengal.

General Ordinances

The examination for the degree of Ayurvedacharya (B.A.M.S) shall be held twice in a year at the Calcutta University at such time and on such schedule fixed by the Controller of Examination, West Bengal University of Health Sciences.
Every one and half years of Study shall be spent on the teaching of 1st. Professional Examination. next one and half years for 2nd. Prof. and next One and half years for 3rd. Professional.
Proffession teaching contains three semesters with propoer intervals, the Degree of B.A.M.S shall only be awarded after sucessful completion of B.A.M.S course and on completion of Intership Training of One Year.

(Note : Only that student will be allowed to appear in any subject in any professional Examination if he/she has satisfactorily persused the regular couse of study in the subject concern duly certified by the head of the department. He/ She attend at least 75% of classses factually held during the session)
