Subject: Formation of Pharmacovigilance Cell – Composition & Functions
This is to inform all concerned that a Pharmacovigilance Cell is hereby constituted in the institution to ensure the safety, monitoring, documentation, and reporting of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and to promote rational use of medicines as per regulatory guidelines.
The composition and functions of the Pharmacovigilance Cell are as follows:

Functions of Pharmacovigilance Cell
- To monitor and record Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) related to Ayurvedic and other prescribed medicines.
- To create awareness among faculty, students, and healthcare professionals regarding pharmacovigilance.
- To collect, document, and report ADRs to the concerned regional/national pharmacovigilance centre.
- To maintain proper documentation and database of reported cases.
- To conduct regular meetings, training programs, and workshops on drug safety.
- To ensure safe and rational use of drugs in IPD and OPD.
- To submit periodic reports to the administration and regulatory authorities.
All faculty members, doctors, interns, and nursing staff are instructed to cooperate and report any suspected adverse drug reactions to the Pharmacovigilance Cell.
